This is a commissioned piece. This painting has taken me on a journey! Your home is so calming and serene, I kept thinking I didn’t want it to be anything too loud or crazy. But, you, Dino and your kids are lively people with lots of positivity! So, the painting kept taking me to bright colors and symbolism. The four arches on the bottom right and the four lines on the top left represent the “Rocha Four.” I kept trying to paint out the circles, but they were stubborn and re-emerged over and over again! Circles and the loops always represent the flow and cycles of life (I especially thought of Dino’s dad❤️). The yellowish “bubbles” reflect the effervescence of your family! The pink squares on the right of the painting reminded me of stepping stones. The orange comes from the beautiful flowers in your yard! I took some photos when I visited your home and those flowers were spectacular! The “scraffiti” (asemic writing) are just me thinking while I paint. They just represent my thoughts…most likely something about the strength of having a good family. I wanted a good grounding color for depth and the dark blue kept landing on the canvas...even when I tried to lighten it up over and over! I think it beautifully represents how we need the dark times in life to allow the happy times (or happy, bright colors) to really sing and pop!
