A Beautiful Marring

$320.00

The female form seems to emerge a lot on my canvases. This one appeared after many frustrating layers of angst. I was experiencing a block in creativity and I could see it in my work. I stepped away from this canvas for several months. When I put it back up on the easel, she appeared. She reminded me of my strength. Also, all the layers created an "armor" of sorts. She was marred. Each of the scars representing a battle she endured. Some she won, some she lost. In the end, she gathered the scraps from the battles and covered her body. She stands victorious as a soul that persevered and wears her battle scars without apology!
